Your role as a Senior Product Manager
As Senior Product Manager for Automatic Reconciliation you will build a completely new product domain from the ground up – almost like joining a start-up inside an established company. You will own the reconciliation engine that connects sales orders, payment processing and financial accounting into one seamless flow. Together with our Payments team, you will shape how automatic reconciliation becomes a natural part of Shine Pay and turns it into a truly end‑to‑end financial solution for our customers. This role is ideal if you enjoy zero-to-one work, taking real ownership, and setting the standard for how things should work in a modern finance stack.
Your responsibilities will include:
Own and drive the product vision and 12‑month roadmap for the automatic reconciliation engine, informed by customer needs and market trends across in‑store, e‑commerce and payments.
Lead discovery and delivery for features that automatically match sales orders, payment transactions, bank deposits and accounting records, and ensure the required integrations with webshops and POS systems are in place.
Work closely with our Payments team to embed automatic reconciliation into Shine Pay, creating an “all‑in‑one” value proposition that reduces operational overhead and de‑risks financial operations for our merchants.
Ensure that reconciliation workflows comply with EU financial and tax requirements, including multi‑language and multi‑currency support, and build deep expertise in local tax and VAT regulations across European markets.
Act as the key connector between engineering (PHP / Laravel) and commercial stakeholders, aligning on priorities and making clear trade‑offs between platform stability and high‑impact feature delivery.
📍 Job located in Copenhagen with possibility of two remote working days per week
About you
You bring 5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally in fintech, payments, or automated accounting software, and you are comfortable taking full ownership of a new product area.
You have a solid grasp of reconciliation logic, payment gateway flows, and the ecosystem around webshops and POS systems, and you enjoy going deep into how the data actually moves.
You are highly analytical and used to working with data and instrumentation to understand impact on revenue, retention and operational risk – and you base your decisions on this evidence.
You communicate clearly with both engineers and commercial stakeholders, translating complex technical topics into concrete decisions and narratives.
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field, and you are motivated by building something new rather than just managing an existing product.
