Shine is the business finance copilot for small business owners and the accountants who support them. Across one connected platform, we bring invoicing, accounting, payroll, payments and financing together, backed by real, local human support, so entrepreneurs can spend their time building the business rather than managing its admin.
We were founded in Copenhagen in 2012 by serial entrepreneurs Rico Adlor-Andersen and Martin Hegelund, after they experienced first-hand how financial admin can derail an entrepreneur's focus. That lesson became our mission: to help entrepreneurs and accountants build businesses they're proud of, with zero minutes wasted on admin. What started as a way to connect small businesses with trusted accountants has grown, market by market, into the platform we run today.
Today, Shine serves over one million small business owners and accountants across France, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany. In November 2025, we joined forces with Cegid, a European leader in cloud business management, to accelerate our journey toward becoming Europe's leading financial platform for small businesses and their accountants, with plenty more ahead.
We're looking for people who want to help build what's next. Shine is an international team, working across borders from offices in Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Gdańsk, Madrid and Porto bringing different perspectives to one goal: clearing the admin that gets in the way, so business owners and their accountants can take pride in what they build.
