👀 The Brand Design team at Shine
The Brand Design team is part of the Brand team, integrated within the Revenue org. We oversee all initiatives related to defining, developing and maintaining Shine's brand identity across markets — leading global brand asset production and ensuring a consistent visual and creative direction across every touch-point.
That includes art direction, photoshoots, website design, paid and social creatives, video and motion production, illustration, events and print. We work hand-in-hand with Revenue and Product teams to deliver high-quality creative that's tied to the product experience, strengthens the brand, and drives measurable business impact.
📋 Your Role as a Brand Design Director
As Brand Design Director, you'll lead the team that shapes how Shine looks, feels, and shows up across six European markets. You'll set the creative bar, build the systems that let us scale, and partner closely with Growth, Product, and local marketing teams to turn brand into a real lever for business performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of brand, marketing, and web designers — setting the bar for creative production at scale while protecting a culture of creativity and experimentation.
- Owning the design direction for Shine's brand identity and maintaining design quality and coherence across the wider brand portfolio.
- Defining the frameworks and governance structures that enable brand production to scale across digital and physical channels.
- Positioning the team as a proactive strategic partner in brand governance, portfolio architecture, campaign strategy, and growth initiatives.
- Working hand-in-hand with performance and growth teams to ensure creative is aligned across departments and tied to measurable outcomes.
- Embedding measurement, storytelling, and creative testing into team workflows.
- Working closely with the Product Design team to ensure visual consistency between brand and product experiences, and to build shared design principles.
- Championing the team's visibility and impact within the broader organisation — growing people's skills and career paths to match Shine's current and future needs.
📍 Job located in Paris with possibility of two remote working days per week
🔎 About you
- 10+ years of experience across brand, marketing, or visual design, including 3+ years managing and growing creative teams.
- Experience leading creative teams within fast-paced tech, fintech, or agency environments.
- Track record of shaping art direction and scaling brand systems.
- Strong understanding of campaign storytelling, creative production, and how design drives marketing performance.
- Actively experimenting with AI-assisted design workflows — you see it as a creative accelerator and help your team build fluency in it.
- Strong communicator who can influence and align at senior leadership level.
- Fluent in modern creative and project management tools.
- Experience partnering with agencies, in-house teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
