📋 Your Role as VP of Products

You will lead the CPA product organisation through a multi-year transformation that has two parallel tracks.

Track 1 — Build: Tax Accounting in Shine

You will define and deliver the roadmap for a new specialist Tax Accounting product within Shine, built from the ground up to serve expert-comptables at the complex end of the French compliance cycle: TVA declarations, révision comptable, and the filing of liasses fiscales. This is a greenfield build inside an established platform — it requires both product vision and genuine fluency in the regulatory and workflow realities of French professional accounting.

Track 2 — Consolidate: Unifying the CPA Portfolio

The integration with Cegid brings a rich set of established CPA products into the Shine ecosystem. Over the coming years, you will lead the consolidation of this portfolio — progressively bringing clients onto modern, unified tooling in a way that is well-planned, well-communicated, and respectful of the workflows expert-comptables depend on. This is careful, high-stakes product work: the clients are professionals operating in a regulated environment, and a great consolidation experience is itself a competitive advantage.

The leadership mandate

You will manage 4+ direct reports, each leading their own product teams. A key part of your role is keeping those teams focused, energised and proud of their work through a sustained period of strategic change — ensuring that every phase of the portfolio evolution feels purposeful and well-executed, not just for clients but for the people building it.

You will:

• Define and drive the multi-year product strategy for the CPA portfolio, covering both the new Shine Tax Accounting module and the consolidation of the Cegid CPA product range.

• Lead the portfolio consolidation programme — designing the client transition roadmap, sequencing the move to unified tooling, and ensuring continuity for expert-comptables at every step.

• Build the specialist Tax Accounting product within Shine — covering TVA, révision comptable, and liasse fiscale from day one, with the depth and rigour that expert-comptables require.

• Navigate the French regulatory and client environment — liaising with expert-comptable firms, understanding the constraints of the DGFiP filing cycle, and ensuring all product decisions are grounded in compliance reality.

• Lead and develop 4+ product leaders, keeping teams motivated, high-performing and proud of their work through a sustained period of strategic evolution.

• Partner closely with Engineering on architecture, API design, data flows, and long-term system evolution — especially the integration between Cegid’s mature systems and Shine’s modern platform.

• Collaborate with senior leadership on the multi-year transformation plan and represent the CPA product portfolio at executive level.

• Elevate product practices across the teams: support the transition from traditional product ownership toward modern, empowered product management.

📍 Paris location - hybrid x3 days per week

🔎 About you

• 10+ years in product management, including senior product leadership of a multi-product portfolio.

• Proven experience leading a product portfolio through significant change — a platform consolidation, a post-merger integration, or a major client transition programme — with strong client retention and team engagement throughout.

• Genuine interest in, or expertise in, accounting or tax workflows — ideally French (TVA, révision comptable, liasse fiscale). Curiosity about hard regulatory domains is essential; prior deep

  expertise is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to build, grow and lead a product team, including developing product leaders.

• Proven delivery of commercially successful products loved by customers, with quantified

  business outcomes.

• Strong technical fluency — able to engage meaningfully with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, event streaming, and integration patterns.

• Full French fluency (written and spoken) — this role operates in a French regulatory environment, with French clients and French teams.

• An execution style that is analytical, commercially grounded, structured, and pragmatic — with the ability to prioritise ruthlessly and delegate with confidence

Bonus Points:

• Experience building accounting, ERP, or financial compliance products.

• Experience in environments transitioning from product-owner to product-manager practices.

• Exposure to multi-product portfolio management with heterogeneous client bases.

• Familiarity with the Cegid or Sage product ecosystem.
