The Banking Customer Data Integrity team at Shine
The Customer Integrity team, part of the Banking team, plays a critical role in our ability to remain compliant in an ever changing regulatory landscape. Our mission is to ensure Shine can reliably and efficiently guarantee its customers always meet our risk and compliance expectations.
The team plays a key part in ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience - whether that’s by finding smart ways to understand their business’ situation without over burdening customers with providing too much information themselves, or by enabling us to make rapid decisions to onboard a customer, safe in the knowledge of their risk profile.
The work of this team will also have a huge impact on our internal operations teams. By making sure we can properly understand changes in a customer’s situation, this team is responsible for ensuring our ops teams’ time is used efficiently. That includes increasing the cases where our customers can be contacted quickly and effectively via automatic means, reducing cases of manual processing by our own teams.
Being best in class for making effective and high quality compliance decisions ensures Shine can drive its international expansion while being confident in combating fraud and financial crime. This all has a positive direct impact on our customers, our business and the wider small business community.
Your role as a Product Manager
As the Product Manager of the Customer Data Integrity team, your mission is ensure we meet our obligations to understand our customers in the most effective way possible, all while giving customers an amazing experience throughout their time at Shine. This means building up a strong understanding of a multi-country regulatory landscape going through a rapid period of change, and joining this up with the needs of our onboarding process, our wider product and our internal operations teams.
This is also an area where opportunities arise through excellence in our use of technology and data processing pipelines. This product manager role will require working closely with the engineering teams and building up a good working knowledge of how our technical systems work, and to ensure technically driven opportunities are also factored into the team’s strategy and prioritisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Shape our ongoing monitoring strategy: This is a relatively new team that’s just getting started. It needs a PM to build deep domain expertise to shape the mission and strategy so that Shine is operating at the forefront of our industry.
Ensure the team is outcome focused: through strong use of productive KPIs while providing the team with clarity on how each project should improve our user experience and/or compliance position.
Setting a clear standard for excellence: ensure the team is oriented around best in class user experiences, high levels of reliability and productive tooling for our internal operations teams.
Drive discovery & delivery: identify where we can unlock the biggest time savings for our operations teams, along with identifying where the changing regulatory environment gives us the greatest opportunities to be the best in class for compliance and user experience at the same time.
Going well beyond simple prioritisation of use cases: instead identify areas of highest impact and collaborate across the team and business to find smart ways to address multiple issues at the same time - scoping out a mixture of structural and incremental improvements.
Lead cross-functional collaboration: the role requires building up a close working relationship with our operations and compliance management teams, along with ensuring the voice and experience of individual ops team members are carefully listened to.
